Dr. Tami Ross
Dr Tami Ross graduated summa cum laude from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1979 with a degree in Public Health and Public Relations. While starting a master’s degree, she worked at Stillwater Vision Clinic for 5 years as office manager and technician before deciding to start optometry school. Dr Ross graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry in 1990. While at NSUOCO, she served as the Optometric Student Association President and received the NSU Service Award, the Bausch and Lomb Contact Lens Award, the Ciba Contact Lens Excellence Award, and the Vistakon Leadership Award. Dr. Ross served as the Treasurer of the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians for 10 years and is currently the First Vice President of the OAOP. She received the OAOP Young OD of the Year Award in 1999 and was recognized as the Optometrist of the Year by the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians in 2009. Dr Ross has lectured nationally on contact lenses, practice management, and staff training. She is an adjunct professor at NSU Oklahoma College of Optometry; her office has served as an externship site for graduating fourth year optometry students from NSU for many years.
Dr. Ross practiced with Dr. Michael Hampton in Yukon, Oklahoma for 5 years before purchasing her downtown Oklahoma City practice in 1995. She served as the Treasurer of the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians for 10 years and is the Past President of the OAOP. She and her husband, Rick, live in Mustang, Oklahoma with their three dogs.
Dr. Amber Roby
Dr. Amber Roby graduated Cum Laude from the University of Science and Arts in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She obtained her Doctor of Optometry Degree in May of 2006 from Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry. While at NSUOCO, Dr. Roby earned the Outstanding 4thYear Research Project Award and the Dry Eye Treatment Excellence Award. After graduating from NSUOCO, she furthered her education with a 1 year residency program in ocular disease and refractive surgery at BVA Advanced Eyecare and TLC. After finishing her residency in 2007, she continued to work at BVA Advanced Eyecare in ocular disease and sugery for 3 years. Dr Roby has lectured on cataracts, cataract surgery, glaucoma, LASIK, PRK, dry eye management, and general optometry. She has volunteered at the Special Olympics, the Oklahoma Research Foundation, hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief, school vision screenings, elementary science fair judge, walk for breast cancer and walk for domestic violence to name a few. Dr. Roby started seeing patients at Leadership Square Eyecare in November 2009.
Dr. Roby has been married to Chris since 2002 and has one son, Easton, and one daugher, Emma. She enjoys spending time with her family outside. They enjoy snow skiing, wakeboarding and going to ballgames!
